What makes COTL especially unique is its location and ability to provide your child with a myriad of outdoor adventures that are usually exclusive to over-night camps. Your camper will enjoy activities such as water sports, archery, horseback riding and many more...all close to home! At the YMCA, we’ve been providing genuine camping experiences for 125 years, combining the values you expect from the YMCA with the adventure and innovation that kids count on today. We also understand kids. We know that young campers must feel comfortable and have a peer social connection to enjoy the camp experience. That’s why our “Taste of Adventure” program is designed to encourage summer-long social connections so that kids are free to enjoy the camp experience. For older campers it’s all about their interests and freedom of choice. Our “Campers-choice” program allows them to design their own camp experience and nurture their interests. Mission and ValuesThe mission of the YMCA is to put Christian values into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. We accomplish our mission through programs that build character, and we build character by teaching and demonstrating positive values. Our values embrace the universal truths inherent in relationships with others: Respect, Responsibility, Honesty and Caring. Safety First

At YMCA Camp on the Lake (COTL), we believe that magic happens when children explore the world around them, make new friends, and learn that "I can" is much more powerful than "I can't." YMCA Camp on the Lake is a premier camp environment created just for kids. At COL children learn life skills, develop self-esteem, and gain a sense of independence and community. Whether they are playing, exploring nature or conquering new heights, they are creating memories that will last a lifetime.
